About
Meredith Brand (formerly "Meredith White") is a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of expertise that yields results.
Meredith is recognized by "Apraxia Kids" for Advanced Training and Expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She is an annual sponsor and two-year coordinator of the Apraxia Walk of Atlanta. Having read every peer-reviewed study on the topic of Apraxia, and having taken every course for its remediation, Meredith provides answers and results. She regularly lectures for Universities as well as national conferences on the topic.
She has been Certified in Orofacial Myology (COM) "Myofunctional Therapy" by the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) since 2015 but began the study of tongue thrust and tongue tie in 2010. She’s taken intense coursework under the leading experts in the field, continues to attend advanced seminars, and has the experience to yield results and provide answers. Her journey with temporal-mandibular joint disorder has taken her knowledge to a new level that can help both children and adults.
Having served autism both professionally and personally, Meredith saw the profound calming effect of craniosacral therapy. With myofunctional therapy she also saw an important role for craniosacral therapy. And then, in the management of pain caused by TMD and from poor posture, she personally found the relief that comes from craniosacral therapy. Because of this value, she began intensive training with the Upledger Institute and is happy to now provide this service.

HOW TO BEGIN
Speech, Apraxia, and Myofunctional sessions are typically 30 minutes, with Craniosacral Therapy being an hour.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECESSARY
Meredith does not use cookie cutter approaches. Because every person presents differently, the number of sessions to remediate concerns will depend on the individual’s level of involvement, and how much the person practices homework. For craniosacral therapy, a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended
